International Women’s Day 2024: Driving success and inclusivity in today’s auto care industry

AIA Canada is thrilled to recognize and celebrate International Women’s Day 2024, a day dedicated to celebrating the remarkable achievements of women, raising awareness about women’s equality, and advocating for positive changes to advance gender equality.

While we take the time to celebrate the accomplishments of women in the auto care industry, it is equally as important to recognize there is still work to be done in fostering inclusivity and attracting and retaining women within the sector.

In a historically male-dominated field, the auto care industry is undergoing a transformative shift with more women taking on influential roles. As the industry landscape evolves, the workforce’s composition is diversifying, with women playing pivotal roles in all facets of the business. Women in auto care are technicians, parts suppliers, insurers, executives—and are excelling in their roles because of their passion and unique perspectives.

As the industry increasingly values the importance of diversity and inclusivity, various initiatives are being implemented to provide support and encouragement for women pursuing careers in auto care. AIA Canada remains committed to driving positive change and creating an environment where every individual can contribute to the industry’s success.

This International Women’s Day, AIA Canada is highlighting eight remarkable women from across the country who have carved themselves successful careers in the industry. These women have not only overcome challenges, but have also become inspirational figures, encouraging more women to join and thrive in the auto care sector.
