Original equipment manufacturers (OEM) frequently provide specifications around corrosion protection restoration that generally include:
- Seam sealer
- Adhesives
- Foam fillers
- Cavity waxes
OEM recommendations usually cover how and where corrosion protections should be used before, during and after repairs are done. While some recommend their own product lines, others recommend third-party products. Some guidelines leave the choice up to the service provider, so long as the product specifications meet those laid out in the recommendations.
